Drawing upon our new build and conservation expertise to deliver this imaginative project for Northampton’s emerging Cultural Quarter.

Works completed on the Vulcan Works Cultural Hub project for Northampton Borough Council where we were appointed to construct and deliver a new managed workspace for creative enterprises.

The £14 million scheme has seen the creation of 59 lettable units – specifically aimed at start-ups and growing business – in the area between Guidhall Road, Angel Street, Fetter Street and St John’s Street in Northampton town centre.

Our works saw the restoration of the historic and listed Grade II former iron works factory in the heart of the Cultural Quarter, as well as the construction of a new block on Angel Street to create new offices, studios and managed workshops.

During its first ten years of operation, Vulcan Works is expected to support up to 100 businesses, creating around 300 local jobs.
