A series of backlog schemes on behalf of Northampton General Hospital (NGH) NHS Trust.

Stepnell were appointed through the Procure Partnership Framework to complete a series of backlog schemes on behalf of Northampton General Hospital (NGH) NHS Trust.
Stepnell were directly awarded to undertake this challenging project in an existing live hospital with a number of co-ordinated work areas with live services.
This included the replacement of:
- The existing ventilation systems to the Endoscopy
- The Sterile Services Department and main kitchen
- Specific internal refurbishments works, including food preparation and regan areas.
These ensured compliance with current building regulations, HTM Ventilation standards and Environmental Health Hygiene Requirements.

We carried out a number of surveys and BIM modelling, particularly in the ceiling voids and plant areas. As the project involved working in a live environment we ensured we minimised disturbance and disruption to the adjacent wards and surrounding departments. This meant collaborative planning and programming and out-of-hours working took place to ensure all the needs of all stakeholders were met.
