The design and construction of a new crematorium was carried out by the Poole Contract team throughout 2010. The contract works included landscaping and the creation of an extensive Memorial Garden.

The Environment Agency required a large swale to be constructed on site to provide attenuation for the storm water produced on site. Foul drainage is provided by means of a septic tank. Services are a vital part of any crematorium works. A high voltage cable existed overhead across the site which had to be diverted underground and a supply taken for the new building. Gas tanks have been installed on site with water and BT fed from the site entrance.

We are fully aware that such buildings require construction to the highest standards. Our joinery shop has constructed all of the major joinery items, many of which have been constructed from oak. These include large curved Chapel windows as well as entrance and exit doors.

This project required a high level of finish and this is what we at Stepnell consistently provide.
